Away On an Adventure

Oh Hai! I'm currently on vacation on a business trip (beause really, for a SAHM, isn't a vacation with the family just the same work in a different location? I've done laundry every single day, so it's all the same to me) in the Outer Banks, NC, in the rain, with an internet connection that only works while I'm in a coffee shop in Duck or hanging around in the parking lot, in the rain. Have I mentioned it's raining? There's lots of rain, though somehow I still managed to get sunburned. The sea is angry, roiling, but beautiful, and we're trying to make the best of it. I'll have stories to tell in a few days. For now, I'll simply say that walking on the beach at midnight, by the silvery light of the full moon, with your husband? Worth bringing my inlaws down here for a few days, even if it did rain most of the time.

So, so agree with you on the work thing. I did all the same chores during our week at the beach as I do at home - more actually when you figure in the mountains of beach towels that needed to be washed. But at least the scenery was lovely.

And night time walks on the beach are among my favorite things in the world.
