So yesterday TheBoy for some reason decided to climb up on top of our exercise bike and stand on the seat, so he could tap on the track lights with his light saber (which he still insists is a "light saver"). He did get one of the light bulbs that had burned out to turn back on, so it wasn't completely without benefit, but he was scolded to get down before he fell. Three times. Sunny saw him up there and decided she had to do what big brother was doing, so she decided to climb up there, too, VIA HIS LEGS.
4-year-old on exercise bike plus climbing 2-year-old = one heap o' screamin' kids.
He was fine, just a few small scrapes on his leg, but something in Sunny's crying told me she was more hurt. Nothing was visible, but finally I hugged her enough to get her to stop screaming and tell me, and she said "my arm." Again, no visible bruises, and the basic neurological functions seemed to be fine, and she did well -- 'til she put her weight on her arm. I don't think it's broken, because she still uses it as long as she doesn't have to put her weight on it, so it didn't warrant a trip to the ER, and the doctor's office was closed on a rare holiday today, so tomorrow, we will go verify that it is a mild sprain to her wrist.
The $64,000 question, though - How do you keep a 2 year old from using her arm - without a straight jacket?
