Trout came home from school this afternoon, with a lovely note that says "I Love you mommy! you are geart I Love you Do you Love me? Srkal you'r ancr Yes or no" Of course I srkaled Yes, while the silly thing hid behind me as though she was worried and wanted my answer to be a surprise. I then gave her a big hug and kiss.
Not three minutes later, I hear the snip of the scissors. I look up, and she has made a half-inch cut on the edge of her umbrella. Made of vinyl or some sort of plastic. You know, the kind where little cuts like that travel. So her fairly brand new umbrella isn't going to last very long. When I gave her an exasperated look and asked her why the heck she did that she said:
I didn't know what it would do - if it would cut.
I'm all for experimentation, but really - I wish she'd just asked me. We could have had a lovely science discussion.
So what do I do to with her?
