I nearly peed my pants. Okay, maybe I DID pee my pants, but it had nothing to do with the Queen of Everything herself linking to me in the Daily Dose. Nope. It did not.
I know, I'm a complete and total dork. Good thing I don't know which suburb she moved to, or even which (non)state, since DC isn't a state but should be, since if I ever saw her in person I'd be such a stupid lame-o gushing groupy type and she'd be all, yeah, I know, whatever.
As for the problem at hand, I don't know, because WE are in a three bedroom townhouse too and we need to fix that. Like, sooner rather than later. But we like our mortgage payment and the fact that our house has more than doubled in value since we bought it 8 years ago and we like our schools and LOVE our pediatrician. But we need a single family house - we are too cramped here.
Anyway, sleeping arrangements. We have the girls together, Little Man by himself, and the baby in with us. Little Man's room is the size of a walk-in closet, and moving the baby in with him really isn't an option, so once the baby needs to be out from our room, we're screwed. Right now Trout is in a twin bed, the four-poster canopy bed I had as a little girl, and Sunny is in a toddler bed. She is a tiny little thing, so she's probably good in that for a couple more years at least, but when she needs a twin bed, we're screwed some more. I briefly considered us moving to the bigger of the small bedrooms and making a huge dorm in the master bedroom, but even the bigger of the two smaller bedrooms is too small for us to fit our queen size bed and dressers and be able to open the drawers to said dressers, so that really won't work either.
Anyone know of a REASONABLY priced (ha!) 4 or 5 bedroom single family house within a REASONABLE (again, ha!) commute (like an hour or less in full traffic) of both the Washington Navy Yard AND Chantilly, VA? Yeah, us neither. Which is why we are here.
OMG---Chantilly!!! I live there! Check into Greenbriar community (thats what my daughter's day care is and I love it there!) and there is a great new community being built just past South Riding..my bff just bought her first house there....4 bedrooms!!! Email me if you want.....I dont blame you---I love it here too!
