Trout just ran in the house, hands on hips, feet stomping and indignantly shouting "Mom! Dad! Little Man just hit me!"
I started to ask her why he had hit her, as I suspected that this wasn't an unprovoked attack when she cut me off and said "I didn't mean to run over him...."
She did not understand at all why BDF and I were cracking up.

The past few days around here have been absolutely spectacular weather wise, highs in the upper 70's to lower 80's and low low humidity, which, if you know anything at all about DC weather, you know is a gift. Usually this time of year it's 95 degrees and 95% humidity.
So, to celebrate, we've been spending as much time outside as possible.
At least, as much as the baby's teeth will let us. Nemo cut his first upper front tooth on Saturday, and we're still waiting for the other one, though it is imminent. We've been trying to figure out if he's sick or it's just his teeth, but he's been snotty and coughing and he's a little hoarse and he's had not really a fever, but an elevated temperature, and just been a cranky pissy hot mess of a kid. Oh, yeah, and he's started getting separation anxiety. Fun!

Last night I took the girls out to IHOP for a Girls' Night Out, which we've never had before. Both girls ate well, which is an anomaly, and at one point Sunny took a bite of her egg and said "This tastes like happy."

BigDaddyFish seems like he's getting sick, so I guess Nemo is sick, too. If he's not better by tomorrow, we'll voyage off to the doctor after my therapist appointment tomorrow.
Boy do I need my vacation coming up.
That is part of my problem with shedding those pregnancy pounds: everything tastes like happiness. :-)
How cute!
