Weeeelllll, about those O's. So! I've had a killer case of writer's block, but I think I'm over it now. So to catch up:
- Trout is in hot water again. Check out my post about it here at DC Metro Moms Blog.
- The skin thing turned out to be nothing. Someone checked the records and called me back in for something that they usually don't treat. That said, I need to be checked every 6 months now instead of once a year. So apparently there is a something, but it isn't a sinister something at this point. Right now much ado about nothing.
- I went back to the orthopedist today. Tomorrow I will have prescription orthodics made, but for the time being the brace is working and the ankle isn't hurting as much. The knee isn't hurting at all, but still grinding, but the doctor doesn't seem concerned. He kept harping on my weight, which really isn't that heavy, and I kept reminding him that it's terribly difficult to do much in the way of exercise that doesn't stress one or the other. That said, I have been sticking to my regimen of using the exercise bike for 50 minutes at a time, 3 days a week, which is about all I can manage timewise at this point, and it is working. I've dropped about 5 pounds over the 6 weeks or so that I've been doing it.
- Sunny and Nemo each had a couple of shots on friday during their checkups, and both have been a bit sick since then. Sunny apparently had a shot of Contrary during one of the vaccines, so she doesn't like anything anymore. This morning, she whined and cried for a full 20 minutes because "I don't waaaaaaana grow uuuuuup. I don't waaaaaaana be a mommy." When I asked her why not, she said "Grown ups awen't any fun."
"A shot of contrary" - that must be what Lily got at her five-year check in February, because she's been a pill ever since. I wonder if there's an antidote.

So glad to hear that everything is okay with your mole!
This writer's block thing - is it contagious? I think I've got it too...
