Bionicle Ballet

Last night Sunny grabbed one of Little Man's Bionicle creations, threw its arms up over its head, pointed its toes down and said "Look Mommy! The Bionicle is doing a releve and holding it!" I chuckled and promptly posted it as my Facebook status, then went back to looking at porn playing Bejeweled Blitz checking my email. She worked at something else then said "Mommy! Now he's doing a passe!" I checked again and a lightbulb went off.

"What other ballet steps can that Bionicle do?"

So now, I present to you, Bionicle Ballet.

Plie in second position (but with whatever arms you want, just like her ballet teacher does it):

Arabesque:

"What's that thing we do at the end, kinda like bowing?"

"You mean a curtsy?"

"Yeah, a cuwrtsy."

"He didn't forget to stwetch, Mommy."

"Look, he's twiwrling!"

 

I thought we could all use something a little lighthearted and fun to balance out all the horror of what's going on in Haiti. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the earthquake victims, may they find their ways to hope and joy as quickly as possible.

We have a ballerina in our house, too. But she's never made her brother's robots dance. At least not yet.
